The UQ Surgical Interest Group (UQSIG) is a student-run organisation dedicated to promoting the profession of surgery at the University of Queensland. We are devoted to furthering and enhancing the surgical knowledge and skills of the students of the University of Queensland through innovative surgical skills workshops, inspiring seminars and outstanding social functions.
In its inaugural year and in the years ahead, we are hoping to host educational workshops and journal clubs, interesting seminars and enjoyable social functions for students at The University of Queensland. In order to achieve this goal, we require professionals to teach at workshops, facilitate journal clubs, and present at seminars. At the moment we are looking for surgical consultants, registrars, residents, and interns (particularly those with surgical aspirations) to help us reach this goal.
We greatly appreciate the time and commitment that all professionals who participate in UQSIG events will invest in the organisation. As a token of our appreciation, professionals will be provided with a certificate of appreciation acknowledging their involvement and commitment in teaching students and towards surgical education at The University of Queensland.
